So who has need of BoSS's ministrations?
Sound-of-Conjoining-Neutron-Stars, 3376492, an asexual energy being on a mission to Earth
It has been quite a few revolutions around its star since anyone traveled the planet known as Earth--the last being Color-of-Helium-Excited-to-2.11-Electron-Volts. Given their mysterious disappearance, the Great Design has finally seen fit to designate an investigator--namely, me.
"Do you really think this is the place to start?" I sub-vocalize to my epistemologer. I'm standing in front of a decently large structure composed of some metamorphic rock, embodying a member of the primary sapient species on this planet, a "human". This feeling of mass is...unsettling.
"The structure is prominent and composed of a locally rare material," answers the epistemologer. "Given our understanding of primitive power dynamics, it is likely housing the governing authority of this region."
"There are many regions on this planet. Many other settlements," I point out.
"As you say, we must start somewhere. Information begets information." A very epistemologer thing to say, but it has a point.
"Very well," I say and enter the structure through a manual portal. The chamber beyond is tall and wide with intriguing acoustics, the walls and floor clad in more of that metamorphic material. I see a seated human before me. For those of the Great Design who might be unfamiliar with mass-bearing biology, I should note that humans are a dimorphic species, and this one is "female", the same designation as the form I currently inhabit.
She has been recording information by applying an emulsion to a fabric layer, but looks up at my approach.
"Welcome to your sexual assessment," she says. "May I see some identification?"
"Yes, hello," I respond, a friendly greeting among humans. "I was wondering if perhaps you could take me to your leader?"
How does the woman respond?
