Chapter 54 by DakotaDave DakotaDave

Where do the women go?"

Sorting things out

Scott was nervous, Jenn and Lydia had been gone a while, and Lydia’s truck was finished. He was back working on a longer-term project, getting an old Indian Warrior running again. Bob loved buying old bikes that were dead and rebuilding them, it’s how Jenn got the skills needed to rebuild Audrey, but for the Indian the parts were not easy to get and no matter what they did things just weren’t running right. Scott had wanted to make good progress to impress Jenn and Bob, but he was struggling and would likely have to turn it over to Jenn for help.

“That’s if she still wants anything to do with you.” Scott thought out loud.

The workday ended and Jenn had never come back, Bob got a ride home from Julio, and all he could offer Scott was a pat on the shoulder and a “Good luck son.”

Scott was a mess, he didn’t know what he should do, both Lydia and Jenn had turned off their phones so he couldn’t get updates, he half expected one of them to show up randomly and ask him to help hide a body.

He got on Audrey and headed out, just riding around, trying to clear his mind, but having little success. He had messed up and hurt two of the people he cared most about, the two people that knew him the best. It didn’t feel good.

He was driving past the Stable when he saw Bob’s car. He pulled in quickly, throwing up some gravel. He walked up to the door, took a breath and went in.

It didn’t take long to find them, they were at a pool table, and they were the center of attention. No one was very close to them, but almost everyone’s eyes were on them.

“You remember, you remember that time at camp.”

“With the swim trunks?”

“Oh my God, no, that one girl, the ugly one.”

Lydia laughed, a very drunk laugh. “She wasn’t that bad.”

Jenn responded by making a face like a beaver, and Lydia practically fell over laughing. Scott knew the story Jenn was referencing, that poor girl, she was really nice and would have been pretty if it wasn’t for those teeth, how badly her braces fit, and those glasses.

“Remember how she freaked out when Scott took his shirt off?” Jenn said, stumbling around to try and make a shot.

Scott remembered, they were playing strip poker, didn’t get very far at all when that girl took his shirt and ran out the door, freaking out. Ruined the whole night.

“And the next day when she was laying all over him?”

“My god, she tried making the most of those tits of hers didn’t she.”

“Like she could hang with us.” Lydia said, and she grabbed Jenn’s breast.

“Hey, none of that.” Jenn slurred out, pointing at Lydia.

“Sorry, I’ll be good,” Lydia said. “No Touchy!” she yelled, “That means you too, buster.” She pointed at some random guy, then winked.

Scott walked over. “There you two are.”

“Oh look Lydia, it’s the dope.”

“Excuse me?”

“You heard her Scotty. You dope.” They both laughed. At least they weren’t at each other’s throats, but Scott wasn’t sure this was better.

“You two are drunk.”

“No way officer, we barely started drinking.” Jenn said, still laughing.

“Yeah, we’re totally sober.” Lydia grabbed Jenn around the waist, and they nearly toppled over.

“Come on, I’ll drive you home.”

“Fuck you Scott.” Jenn said, but she let him take her arm and start leading her to the door.

“I like her idea.” Lydia said, then laughed.

“You’re Scott?” a man nearby asked him.

“Yeah.”

“Oh buddy, good luck.” He said, giving him a pat on the shoulder and laughing.

He got the girls outside and into the back seat of Bob’s car without much trouble. They giggled and talked and occasionally Jenn had to push Lydia off of her, but she didn’t seem upset.

At Lydia’s apartment the trouble started.

“You two want to come up?”

“I don’t think that would be good Lydia.”

“It’d be a lot better than good,” Lydia said, grabbing Jenn’s butt.

“Lydia!”

Lydia’s face fell. “Please, we don’t have to do anything, I just don’t want to be alone.” She said, half whispering, half begging.

Jenn looked at Scott.

“I’m sorry Lydia.”

“Oh, let’s go up Scott.” Jenn said, getting out of the car.

“Scott’s making dinner.” Lydia cried, leading Jenn up the stairs.

Scott sighed, then followed.

Lydia put on a show, some crime drama he didn’t recognize, and Lydia and Jenn cuddled under blankets like two girls at a sleepover. Scott looked around Lydia’s kitchen and decided to make spaghetti.

They sat in Lydia’s living room, eating and watching shows, keeping conversation light. Jenn and Lydia were more than co-existing, they seemed to be getting along, but Scott wondered how long it could last, especially if Lydia was up to something. Lydia had offered a three-way with Suzie, if she thought it could keep her in the game, would she try to seduce Jenn? And what would he do if she did?

When the girls finished eating Scott took their dishes and started cleaning up. He heard some talking and a bit of giggling from the other room. He didn’t know what was going on, and he certainly didn’t trust it.

He was putting away the last of the dishes when he heard a cork pop. He walked out to the living room.

“Seriously?” He asked, the girls were pouring wine.

“Shut up Scott.” Lydia said.

“Yeah, shut up Scott.” Jenn said, and they both laughed.

“Okay, will someone tell me what’s going on with you two? This morning you looked like you were going to **** each other.”

Lydia looked at Jenn, Jenn looked at Lydia, then Lydia spoke.

“We came to a decision.”

And the decision is?
