Sorta. Jaune's unfortunately distracted

As Jaune and Ruby return, the girls immediately rush them.

"Are you okay?"

"We were worried"

"What the hell happened?"

It sounded like a cacophony of shrieks entering Jaunes ears.

"Enough" he said firmly. All the girls immediately shut up. Even Nora and Yang looked at him like frightened puppies.

He let out a sigh

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be so... Firm. But I was worried. Mostly about all of you. I just need... To calm down a bit."

Jaune marched past the girls, leaving them all together.

"What exactly happened?" Pyrrha asked Ruby

"We got into a fight with some woman. No idea who she was. White fang or one of Roman's people or... I dunno. Someone else? All I know is Jaune was on edge the whole time after. Mr. Ironwood showed up and told us he'd be questioning us tomorrow."

Pyrrha looked towards Jaune sadly.. when suddenly a hand gently grabbed her shoulder. She looked up to see Yang there.

"Come on." She said, as she started walking towards Jaune. Pyrrha was confused, but followed along.

Before Jaune could even register what was happening, Yang had grabbed his forearm and was pulling him away.

"Come on, loverboy." She said boldly.

He didn't protest. Not really. He wasn't in the headspace for it... And eventually they were inside a storage room behind the ballroom.

"Talk to us" Yang demanded

"Yang. It's fine." He replied.

"It clearly isn't... Mas-- Jaune..." Pyrrha began. She cut herself off from saying Master. Not because she had to, they were in private, but because she wanted him to know how serious she was. "You're upset. We can tell."

"I'm just... Scared" he began "as soon as I realized there was trouble, do you know what I thought? That one of you could get hurt. And when Ruby charged ahead after that woman, my heart sank thinking that if she got the drop on her..."

Pyrrha and Yang exchanged a glance

"Jaune" both said at once. He looked up at both of them

"Nothing happened" Yang said. "Can't you focus on that?"

"What if something HAD happened?" He said, on the verge of tears "Yang, if either of you -- if ANY of you got hurt or... Or worse..." He managed to say "I don't know if I could live with myself."

There was a moment of silence, before both girls embraced him in a hug

"What if we promised you something?" Pyrrha asked "what if we promised never to take on anything alone. If something happens - anything - we all meet up. Every one of us. And we handle it together. Or if we can't, we run together" she said

"Yeah. Because to be honest, we were worried too." Yang said "you rushed off and we were all scared... So you're part of this too. Anything happens, and you come to us. All of us."

Jaune looked at them and nodded, before giving both a long kiss on the lips, one after the other. Both stepped back, smiling.

"Good. Now.... I think there's still one song to go" Yang said with a smile "and speaking of promises... We did say we'd all dance together, right?"

Jaune smiled back at her, as the three walked back out to the ballroom for the dance.
