Chapter 55 by CaptainPulse CaptainPulse

How does she wake up?

Sore

As Takoff opened her eyes, she felt a shooting pain in her back. She groaned, stretching and cracking the life back into her spine. "What happened?" She asked to herself. "I was on a mission, and then..." Her eyes widened as she looked down at herself, remembering the poor results of her plan. "Oh, right..."

She was sure Jeanine and the gnome were long gone; judging by the position of the sun in the sky, she'd been out for a few hours. She could certainly count her lucky stars that no one with ill intent had found her while she was ****. Still, sleeping with her butt in the air did a number on her joints. Her back would be sore for a while, that was for sure.

Takoff looked back in the hovel where she had been trapped to find her apron and boots still stuck to the floor. Sighing in defeat and realizing that the spell would not be letting them go (a pity, she had really liked those boots), she picked up her hat and started walking back up the hill, her muscular butt cheeks shaking as she climbed.

This was a problem, but not one that was irrecoverable. There wasn't much money left in the wagon, but there was enough for the essentials. She may not be able to grab new clothes before taking her charges to their destination, but they'd be able to afford food and water, at least. As she climbed the hill, her breathing got more heavy, and her steps became more sluggish. Halfway up the hill, she fell to her knees and started crawling up the hill, sweat glistening off her body in the pale moonlight. "I have to... work out... more... after this..." The dwarf, whose muscles were far more suited for quick bursts of movement than stamina-driven action, wheezed as she reached the apex of the hill.

At the top of the hill, Takoff rolled onto her back and let her stomach heave as she took massive breaths. "I misjudged that height, I guess." She said to Morgala and Thurkla, not bothering to look in their direction. "Sorry, I'm late. We'll be back on the road soon enough."

Strangely, she didn't hear a response from her naked passengers, only a muffled groaning. Confused, she looked over at where she had parked the wagon in the bushes and her eyes widened.

What did she see?
