How to help Kitty?
Soothe her
"Yes, you did," John told her, putting his hands back on her hips. He rubbed his thumbs in small circles against the skin exposed between her pants and tank top, remembering how much Mia had enjoyed it. The image of his ex's face surfaced in his mind and he pushed it away, hiding his pain at doing so.
The vampire brightened slightly, smiling tenderly. Her hands clasped his own as she growled, arching her back while swaying her body from side to side. She then slowly brought his hands up to her face, John catching on quickly and moving with her. When his knuckles touched the soft, cool skin of her cheek, she resumed that gentle purr again and closed her eyes, leaning into his hands as he cupped her face. He stroked her pink lips with his thumb, and she deepened the vibrations of her purring. His index finger moved to her eyelid, tickled it, and she laughed sweetly.
His hands were graceful as they explored every inch of her face - a gracefulness he hadn't been able to use since...
I could kill her right now, John thought, right now. Just wrap my hands around her neck and break it like a twig. I could, and then they'd see I-I'm not helpless, I could...
The vampire sighed and ran her velvety hands across his chest and cupped his own face now. He felt himself heat up yet it wasn't because he felt awkward, surprisingly. Whereas he was graceful, her movements were strange and risky almost, but earnest. So, so earnest.
I can...I...
He began to sit up, scooting back against the couch so as to have better access while stroking the vampire catgirl's gorgeous face. She whined and snaked her hand behind his neck, scratching it but still not drawing any blood. The tips of her nails were pointed like daggers but without any real power behind them. She didn't seem to even be aware of it.
I-I could, certainly but...
Yes. There were a few 'buts' he had to work through if he wanted to kill her.
And frankly, he couldn't bring himself to do. Maybe it was the side-effects of making out with a vampire, but an instinctive feeling deep inside said otherwise.
That it was wrong. Plain and simple.
"I'm such a good kitty for you," she murmured dreamily, her body moving back to him again. "Kitty won't be naughty again, ever. Kitty learned her lesson..."
"It's okay," he said, placing a hand on her shoulder to stop her. "You're a good girl, kitty. You, uh," - how is he supposed to calm down a vampire catgirl which, if he didn't know better, was horny for him - "you're okay. Nobody's going to hurt you, girl." Girl. Saying it like that felt almost degrading, but given her current statement of mind he wasn't sure she'd notice.
"Girl..." the word rolled off her tongue slowly, like she'd tasted...his blood. She stopped moving, then breathed in, slowly, through her nostrils, then exhaled through her mouth. Breath in, then out. It was a steady pattern for her, the ears atop her head twitching around carefully. The tip of the tail curled around itself then uncurled, dancing casually.
"I'm a good girl," she murmured, and then she yawned softly, pivoting her head from one shoulder to the other slowly. Her intakes of air became more natural and systemic, until she sighed again and arched her back even further than before. Her lower body pressed against John's own, but he ignored it, waiting to see her open those hypnotic eyes.
When she did, the change was obvious. Whereas before she looked drunk and needy, now there was a fire in them, a blazing inferno not even Dante could brave.
The two were silent for a few moments, only holding the other's gaze intensely. Then she moved forward again, and lightly pressed her lips against John's. He inhaled deeply, and when she drew back he let out the breath, relieved.
"Thank you," she said softly. "For not...for..." She didn't know what to say. It was obvious. She just sat on him with her mouth opened before finishing her sentence. "For helping me."
More silence, her dark slits boring into John's very soul. What would she see in him, he wondered? The aftermath of whether or not he should kill her? This girl had been full of surprises so far, so he wouldn't be surprised if she could read his mind.
She grunted and then got off him, daintily placing both feet on the carpet. All while maintaining eye contact. Now, unable to not give her wonderful body a quick once over, did he notice her black pajama pants had ridden down slightly, revealing the hem of light pink panties. He immediately looked back to her face, blushing faintly.
She sighed. "Sara," she said. "My name is Sara."
"John," he answered. "Nice to uh...meet you."
"After what we just did, I think 'meet you' isn't an appropriate greeting." She smiled slyly and then began to stalk around the edge of the couch, her tail raised in the air without a care in the world. "I've gotta handle a few things" - she gestured to the parts of her body which belonged to felines - "but I'll be back. Make yourself at home." She paused at an archway John only just noticed now, which lead into what was clearly the kitchen, given the white paint and refrigerator. Smirking, she added one more thing before she left.
"And John? You shouldn't believe everything the hunters teach you. It makes you gullible."
Then she left, her barefeet padding away faintly until the sound of a door being opened and shut canceled them out.
Should he take her advice?
