Sometimes we choose are actions other times they are chosen for us

The next morning I woke up and poked my head out of a bush looking towards the humans camp much to my disappointment they were gone and I was hungry again. it was hard to tell there was ever a camp there to begin with the only signs of it was some bent blades of gras here and there and the smell of humans even the place where the fire was was concealed and a small plant was growing there. I sniffed around until I figured out what direction they had headed. It was back the way I had run the night before. There was an instant fight in my mind part of me just wanted to just leave my enemies to kill one another and go find food but the other wanted **** if it couldn’t kill them all itself then at the vary least I could watch the humans crush the green shit sacks. In the end my hatred won out and I started fallowing the sent quickly and quietly. It took about 35 minutes before I started to hear there hushed talking. At one point while I was fallowing I caught a glimpse of the elf as I did she told everyone to hush and looked around. Looking back at it now I think the elf and the short hooded female I later learned was an assassin probably know I was fallowing them but didn’t say anything to the others. I followed them for probably 5 or so hours before they slowed there pace and I could tell be were getting close to the goblin camp. I was getting so nervous every twig snap every leaf that crunched under the knights boots made my heart pound. Finally they made it to the edge of the goblin and orc camp. I was still a ways back but could hear the green skins talking loudly and laughing from time to time. The human party huddled making a plan and then the female in holly robes knelt down and started preying casting some sort of magic over the others. Then the large female with the ax and the dark cloaked female went one way around the outside edge of the goblin and orc camp and the knight and elf went the other. This gave me the chance to creep closer to the preying female and wizard giving me a better look at the camp. Looking at the orcs and goblin camp many of them were asleep and some were walking around with what looked to be clay jugs of something they were drinking. given my life as a soldier before being hung I could only guess it must be some kind of booze. Stupid and lazy soldiers are all the same. So in the hopes I could get a chance to kill one of the past out green skins I crept even closer but then I noticed not all of the goblins where so foolish there were a number of them that were still standing guard including 1 that was a level 24 shadow blade I didn’t know what that was but I figured it would notice me in a heart beat if I tried anything. Then there was a loud whistle and the shadow blade was struck with an arrow in the eye along with 2 others. As that happened the wizard girl cast a spell and 3 orcs and 4 goblins were killed as lightning leaped from her hand and bounced from one to the other. It was all so fast the wizard walking forward as she did so. the large female with the ax wasn’t even using it instead the was just breaking faces with her fists. the bark cloaked girl was so fast it was hard to keep up with what she was doing but I did notice she killed the shaman by stabbing him in the back and then he rapidly turned to stone from some kind of poison I’d guess. I looked back to the female who was preying to see what she was doing she was still preying out loud but then I noticed a goblin sneaking towards her. It was a level 25 and she was a level 32 but… I don’t know why I did what I did it all happened so fast. I used shadow jump to jump behind her and throw her forward out of the way… I think my plan was to push her out of the way then jump again or something… ether way it didn’t go as planned I turned just in time to see a black blade coming down on my left eye it wasn’t deep but…

I could feel my strength slipping through my fingers. What little vision I had left was fading I think I saw an arrow hit the goblin. I do remember seeing the female turn and start preying but she said something about not being able to remove the poison. The large lady shouted something I couldn’t make out. Looking over she was coming out of one of the tends and gestured to the knight and elf to look inside… as my vision faded to black the only thing I could think was…. How pissed I was that I didn’t even get to kill out of the green skins that killed my pack. I’m not sure if it was the poison in my veins or the anger but I felt like I was on fire I was so mad but I ones again was dying because I was so weak
