Chapter 28
by Verdant_Hatchling
What’s Damon doing?
Something quite awful, or awesome.
As Damon dropped from the portal, he also dropped from the thousand foot tall ceiling, slowly releasing his current form.
Knowing his current enemy, he chose to make his form six hundred feet tall, and nearly a hundred wide, as well.
As he took this form, he crashed down onto the floor of the grand room.
The drowsy Frost Gargantua stood from its throne as quickly as it could, reaching for a giant steel lump, it used as a hammer.
As it stood from the seat, it found, for once in his life, he wasn’t the largest being in the room, as he was left gawking at the titan before him.
But that didn’t deter him, as he rushed towards Damon. Surprisingly quick for his size, he smashed the massive lump into Damon’s stomach, but he didn’t move an inch, instead, the weapon tore itself from the giant's grasp, and rocketed towards a wall.
As he was left with pain in his wrist, Damon cracked his knuckles, lunging forward and grabbing the legs of the fleeing enemy.
…
All the while, his portal he dropped from hadn’t dissipated, leading the Council members to watch on, as this monstrous entity easily demolished their eternal enemy.
And as they were watching, their hearts sunk as Damon glanced towards them, before performing a sequence of actions so bizarre to them they nearly passed out.
…
As he was holding the legs of the giant before him, Damon absentmindedly looked at the portal he’d forgotten to close, before remembering a scene in a certain movie he’d watched, nearly a hundred times when he’d been laid out.
His grip tightened, remembering his past, he tensed his muscles for some intense lifting, and with a surprisingly easy motion, Damon brought the Gargantua to follow a simple arc, its ten ton body gliding through the air easily, and slamming into the ground.
Before Damon brought him to complete another arc.
And another one.
And again, and again.
Damon couldn’t stop swinging, he just couldn’t stop, a frightening bloodlust began clouding his sight, including his Partial Omniscience.
Every eye his mind contained was dimmed, the thousands of perspectives showing him the form before him. Leaving Damon solely focused on the destruction he was bringing about.
Thus, the giant body slowly fell to bits, first an arm was torn from its place by the immense forces of the swings alone.
His skull, smashed thoroughly from the continuous arcs, still going, not an end in sight, though sight was far gone for the deceased enemy.
Bang, another arm was gone, smashing into the wall, leaving a large indentation, a bloody lump sticking out.
Damon began to calm down, reaching a hand to his face, before a fearsome roar **** its way from his maw, grabbing the corpse in his grasp with both hands and beginning to pull.
And rip.
And tear.
And after a mere second, the actions succeeded, and Damon launched the bifurcated pieces away, a mighty quaking following the throws.
And as he stood, blood sprayed forth in a mighty surge, coating his body, but the other splatterings were stopped in the midst of their indiscriminate spray, before flying into the Barrel Damon brought out.
Unbeknownst to Damon, as he tore his enemy to pieces, the many millions of troops beneath the Frost Gargantua, with his demise, fell to dust, and the countless combatants facing against them were instantly relieved, though confused, as their eternal enemies were razed.
And the Council, whose once eternal goal was completed before their very eyes, in a matter of seconds, no less.
Their jaws were agape, and while there was a sense of appreciation, it was utterly overshadowed by an immense fear.
Though Damon didn’t really mind, as he floated up through the portal he’d left open. As he approached the stuttering Council members, as if she'd been waiting for a signal, Lorelai appeared, teleporting beside Damon as soon as his feet hit the ground.
The shocked Council was quickly even more taken aback as Lorelai began to plead to Damon.
“Please sir, I know not how long you have in this world, for you have accomplished your task. While you remain, I beseech thee, let me accompany you, to follow you to your world, and if possible…” She was voiceless for a single second, before resolving herself, and asking for her heart's desire, “And if possible, become your wife.”
Throughout her speech the Council was already flabbergasted, but when she finished her pleading, they each audibly gasped.
Damon, standing in his immense form, not having shrunken down, left sitting comfortably within the chamber, was staring at Lorelai coldly, for a solid ten seconds. Before questioning her resolve. “You wouldn’t be my first wife, nor would you be my last. Does that bother you?” He continued staring into her eyes, less cold than before, but still quite inquisitive.
Lorelai breathed in calmly, before declaring her intentions proudly, her gaze never leaving Damon’s.
What’d she say?
