Someplace Supposed Safe

What exactly happened after that was a mystery to me. For all I know the police officer. Checked me out then called an ambulance to take me to the nearest hospital. Every now and then I would regain consciousness only to find a hand on my breasts or between my legs. Then I would go dark again.

When I did wake up fully I was in a small room, in a small bed with an I.V. in my left arm and a blood pressure cuff around my right arm.

I found the call button and pressed it and soon a nurse who looked to be in her late forties came in followed by a young doctor who had a chart in his hand. They were surprised that I hadn’t come to before now. The doctor used his stethoscope to listen to my lungs and heart. Accidentally brushing his hand over my breasts. At least I hoped it was an accident.

“So Miss Doe the police are looking to ask you a few questions if you are up for it!”

“Dorothy, My Name is Dorothy Meyers!”, A made up name and told them both that I didn’t have anything to say to the police! Afraid that if they investigate what I said they would get in contact with Uncle Raymond and send me back to him and my cousins.

They both said that was up to me. But their primary concern was getting fluids back into me and releasing me when ready to leave.. They went out, leaving the door to my room open so anyone walking in the hallway could look in.. With nothing to do, I slept and every now and then when awake I would see a man walk by my door. He was kind of thick, who usually wore a
t-shirt and black pants.

I didn’t think about him much, probably a person here to visit someone in the hospital. But I got concerned when I thought I woke up and found him at my bed side feeling me up under the blanket. Stupidly, I said something to the nurse who promptly gave me a little pink pill that helped me relax but made it impossible for me to move. That was when it happened to me.
