Someone has a Delivery of Diamonds

Anthony checked his watch. "15 minutes until showtime." Tiny just nodded his head once. Davy was starting to get nervous, very nervous if he was honest and looking at the other two people in the car did not help his nerves.

Tiny made a lot of people nervous. Very few people knew anything about Tiny; where he came from, how old he was, even his name seemed to be a mystery. The one thing people did know was Tiny wasn't tiny. He was 6'8" and muscles, pure muscle. There was no fat on his body. If you were locked in a room with Tiny, which several people had, you had to hope it was a room the size of a football field. It never was. It was always a small room and Tiny usually left the room in need of repair afterwards - and a body beyond repair. In short people kept their distance from Tiny.

Anthony was almost the complete opposite. He was 5'11" and medium build. While he could hold his own in a fight, Anthony tried to avoid any situation where he may get punched. Most of the time he had a smile on his face and a welcoming greeting. Most of the time he was having fun and not taking life too seriously. Most of the time. However when it was time for business all that changed. Anthony had a stare that could make big men freeze in the middle of summer. When it was time for business Anthony would put one arm around your shoulder, one hand patting your arm while the other hand thrust a blade into your chest. When it was time for business.

And it was now time for business.

The plan was simple: wait for the delivery to be completed then wait 15 minutes so everyone inside the jewellers was more relaxed. Anthony would then walk in, spend a minute or two browsing before engaging the jeweller in conversation. The plan was to get him to bring a sample of the new diamonds to show Anthony. Tiny would enter at this point. Everyone's attention would be drawn to Tiny, it always was. Anthony would then make his move and overpower the jeweller, and grab the diamonds as well as anything else that caught his eye. If all went according to plan the whole thing should take no more than 10 minutes. What could go wrong?

"It's time," said Anthony. There was no smile on his face or humour in his voice. It was time for business. Tiny nodded. Both men exited the car leaving Davy alone.

Davy also nodded. 'What could go wrong?' he thought as he adjusted his new glasses and turned on the engine. 'What could go wrong?'
