Yes - Wonder Woman Shows Up

"Go! Go! Go!" Anthony shouted as he leapt into the car. Tiny also jumped in, testing the suspension in the process. Davy didn't need to be told twice. The wheels spun as Davy pulled away. He swerved between cars as he put as much distance between them and the jewellery store as possible. Davy could hear his heart beating in his ears. It took two minutes before Davy allowed himself a sign of relief. He slowed to the speed limit so not to draw any attention to them. Davy began to relax.

Tiny decided to speak his first words of the day and immediately pushed Davy's heart to its limits. It may have been because Tiny had actually spoke that the car was now on edge or it may have been the two words he had spoken: Wonder Woman.

It took a second for Tiny's words to sink into Davy's brain. "Fuck! We are fucking fucked!"

"Floor it!" Anthony shouted. Davy didn't need a second invitation. The car revved as Davy weaved between the traffic and swerved around corners.

The three men couldn't see it but Wonder Woman looked down at the car from above. There was a smile on her face. "Men?" Wonder Woman asked herself. "Why do they always try and run?" Wonder Woman had watched them since the robbery. The jeweller had triggered the silent alarm. Wonder Woman hadn't wanted to intervene when there was a potential change of bystanders getting hurt or used as hostages. Instead Wonder Woman was content to follow the men to whatever rock they had crawled out from under. However she had been spotted and the car started driving erratically. Wonder Woman thought it best to take action before the men crashed and injured innocent civilians in the process. Wonder Woman began her descent.

Davy had tilted his wing mirror upwards so he could see Wonder Woman as he drove. He could do nothing as she began to descend. He gripped the wheel tighter. "Fuck," Davy quietly swore as he skidded around a corner, ignoring the loud blast of a horn from the driver he just cut up. "Fuck." This time it wasn't quiet as all he could see up ahead was a traffic jam. There was no way through.

"Do something," said Anthony, an edge clearly in his voice. Almost on instinct, Davy turned left down a narrow alley. The car made a horrible screeching noise as it struggled to stay on the ground and no roll. Wonder Woman smiled; they had nowhere left to run.

The end of the alley was approaching fast. Davy knew he needed to slow down but also knew that would mean Wonder Woman would catch them. 'Here goes nothing,' Davy thought as he waited until the last second before applying the brake, handbrake, prayer, and anything else that might take the car around the corner. Unfortunately it wasn't enough as the car crashed into some bins and spun to face the wall. All three men knew driving was no longer an option.

"Plan B!" Anthony shouted as he opened his door and ran down an alley. Davy and Tiny also ran but down a different alley. They both thought the same thing: Wonder Woman would go after the person with the diamonds.
