Katy claps politely. She knows the cameras always find the losers while the winners walk up to the stage, smile, weep, feign shock, and give their rehearsed speech.

You can tell she's doing her best not to roll her eyes next to you as the winner drones on and on and the whole crowd applauds again.

But you can see the life slip out of her. She doesn't seem bubbly any more. She doesn't seem horny. You start to worry.
