Some of the flood gets on their clothes

"Oh my God!" everyone cried out at they stepped on the moist carpet in front of the bathroom.

"This is so gross!" Sandra said as she had no choice but to peel off her wet socks.

"Yeah," Becky said as she did the same. Lisa was already barefoot in her romper, but she could feel the gross moisture on the soles of her feet.

"This is the last time we invite you over, Trudy," Becky turned to scold her friend, who had trailed the group and managed to avoid getting anything wet so far.

"Oh come on guys, I'm so sorry about this! Let me make it up to you!"

"Oh, you'll make it up, alright," Becky's tone soured as Trudy feared what would happen next.
