Chapter 10 by FallenSaint FallenSaint

The next morning?

Some new equipment

The next morning you wake up to find Val is already up and around. She was dressed and cooking breakfast. She gave a nervous glance towards the river. When you sit up and start stretching a smile lights her face and she rushes to your side. You start to greet her, but she flings herself upon you, kissing you and almost knocking you back to the ground completely. You return the kiss, letting your long tongue slip between her lips and invade her mouth. At the same time, a strong hand starts groping her ass. The two of you kiss for a few minutes when she suddenly pulls back with a squeal about the food.

She rushes back to the fire and quickly pulls whatever she was cooking away from the heat. You chuckle and finish climbing to your feet. Even though she is busy with the food, you notice she keeps shooting little glances your way and that cute little smile just wont leave her lips. You walk over to help her finish with the food and notice she blushes when you get close. Breakfast is a quick meal of bread and some cooked meat she had been storing in her bag. You just didn't understand how those "Hero Bags" seemed to work. They could carry an infinite number of items, never gained any weight no matter how much was stored inside them, and came in all shapes and sizes. Even food was kept fresh while inside them. Heroes got all the cool toys.

"So Val, we should be heading out soon correct?"

"R-right. But first I have some things for you."

Reaching into the every magical bag of mysteries once again, she pulls out a glimmering Longsword, a bronze breastplate, and a black hooded cloak. She handed them over and you were amazed to learn that you were able to actually equip them. You knew your new form was supposed to give you that power, but it was still amazing. The breastplate hooked on so that it wouldn't obstruct your wings and the cloak fit nicely after you folded in your wings. The sword was a little different though. It didn't fit your hand that well and it was too light. You felt like you were waving around a tooth pick. And it was so weak that it didn't even increase your attack, just the range of your strikes. Val noticed your disappointment and asked what was wrong.

"This sword is too light. I think I need something a little heavier."

"Well, I can't help with that right now. That's the only sword I have at the moment. Most of my marks were Hunters and Healers. I have plenty of bows, staves, robes, and even a wooden mace from a beginner barbarian. Most of the people in this area are Elves and they don't generally use heavy gear."

"I see. Then what's the plan?"

"Lets get to Lindleton and I'll buy you a better sword. After that, we begin operation "Become the best baddies we can be" and I'll lure out as many marks for us as I can."

You nod your agreement and together you begin heading for the Lindleton. The journey goes well and by that evening you can see the town in the distance. Val calls a halt in the forest not far from the town.

"Alright, I'll be back in the morning with you a new sword and a few new marks for us."

"I'll be ready," you assure her. With that, she heads into town.

Is it that easy?
