Chapter 3 by zenxraider zenxraider

What's your first task?

Some investigation is in order

Your idea was kind of simple and quite possibly a shot in the dark, but some familiar surroundings would be nice as you work out these changes in your body. After a short drive, you find yourself at a book cafe you would sometimes visit for a nice coffee or tea, and a search for a new book that might explain what was happening to you. Rationally it made sense, as you purchased books of a spiritual nature here before.

A soft bell chimes as you enter the cafe and the soothing scent of morning brew drifts into your nose.

"Welcome in!" says a friendly voice from behind the counter. "Oh, Kevin! Good morning!"

It's Jen, one of the baristas and a student at the nearby arts university. A cutie of 20, she was petite, pale, and slim, with her hair cut into a pixie bob and decorated with colorful highlights of blue and purple. She was dressed in a white tank top and pumpkin shorts with rainbow shoulder straps to celebrate Pride Month. Her energy was very bubbly this morning and was a welcomed breath of fresh air. You smile and approach the counter.

"Good morning Jen, good to see you," you answer cheerfully.

"Your usual london fog or something with a bit more kick?" she asks with a wink.

"Just the london fog to start, but we'll see later," you reply.

Tea felt like the better choice today.

"Sure thing. I take it you want to open up a tab then?"

You were already reaching for your wallet.

"Yeah, a tab for today. I might be here for a little while," you say with a chuckle.

She flashes you a cheery smile and takes your card. For a brief moment, your fingers touch. Her skin is warm and soft. Normally this wouldn't be any different from any other exchange, and the two of you briefly flirted back and forth in the past. Chaste touches were normal signs of chemistry, and you were familiar with these little non-verbal cues. Except this time, you notice her breath audibly hitch. Her gaze darts from your hand to your eyes, and a visible blush forms across her cheeks. For a few seconds, that gaze holds firm and all of a sudden, your dream from last night rushes to the forefront of your mind, and this time, Jen is the object of your desire.

"U-uhm... would you like that iced or... or steamy?" she asks, biting her lip.

Her voice sends goosebumps across your skin.

"Steamy," you say lowly, riding this new development, throwing caution to the wind.

Steamy? What was this, some kind of cheap porno? Somehow you couldn't really bring yourself to care. Her hand shifted ever so slightly to hold yours, the card entirely forgotten. Did her skin usually glisten or is the June heat just that unbearable already? And that scent... it wasn't perfume, it was something deeper... more primal. You felt the sparks clearly as they danced between you. And all over a simple transaction for a lavender tea.

Jen seems to snap out of her stupor at that moment. With a stuttering blush, she quickly rings up your order.

"It'll be ready in just a few minutes Sir..." she says breathily.

"Thank you lovely," you answer dumbly, your own blush now in full **** across your face.

She silently returns your card, her fingers brushing across your knuckles this time, and an erotic shudder runs through her body. If there was any doubt before, it had entirely evaporated now. Jen was turned on, immensely so, and you were to blame. As she turns to prepare your order, you shift your attention to the cafe itself.

It was around 7:30 in the morning in June, and the two of you were the only ones present in the cafe. The semester was over and the students had either gone home for the summer or were abroad. You were already partial towards little to no crowds so the quiet atmosphere of the book cafe was exactly up your alley, but given the clear sexual tension between yourself and your barista, you were doubly thankful for the slow morning. It was even better that Jen had opened on her own.

You make your way to one of the bookshelves, specifically the section with the supernatural material, and begin browsing. You had a fairly good idea of what was happening now, but you wanted to double-check before testing it any further. On the bottom shelf, a well-worn book with a dark cover catches your eye. The text for the title is faded but legible; the Occult for the Fledgling Witch. You dabbled with some spells and powers in the past. Admittedly your experiments were far from serious, but you never attempted to invoke any kind of entity. The mere thought sent a shudder through your body, but you wondered if perhaps you had played host for one in your sleep. The thought was disturbing for sure, but a darker part of you found it quite intriguing all the same. Taking the book from the shelf, you walk over to your favorite squishy armchair, settle in, and begin flipping through the pages.

The first couple of chapters are pretty standard for a book on witchcraft; beginner spells, simple regents, ingredients and focus objects, incantations, and the like, but it's the latter chapters that draw your attention; the various entities a witch could encounter on the "other side". You had your ghosts, poltergeists, spirits, visitors, and demons. There they are. You begin reading through the section on demons, the various types, some of the named, patron demons, and a chill runs down your spine.

"So inquisitive, aren't you?"

Your breath catches in your throat.

"I beg your pardon?" you ask in your mind.

"Ohhhh and you even have some skill with mediumship as well. I'm impressed."

The voice continues to echo in your head, its tone markedly female. Ok, definitely playing host to some kind of entity.

"Not quite so crude, human, though such an act is certainly within my power."

"... you have my undivided attention," you answer.

"So subordinate. I like it. Allow me to introduce myself with a name you'll find familiar. I am Lilith."

You pause in place. Vaguely, your gaze sweeps the room and you notice life seems to have taken a grayish-pink tint. Moreover, all movement from the flow of traffic outside to Jen busying herself with your order had ceased in place, as if time had stopped. Lilith was speaking to you and pulled you into a pocket dimension where the rules of time and space didn't matter.

"It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Lilith, or do you prefer I call you by a specific title?" you ask carefully.

You hear Her chuckle over your mental link.

"Obedient, polite, educated, and a natural gift for the arcane. A good one indeed. You may call me by name, my Child. And by now you've probably noticed some interesting changes to your being, yes?"

"Interesting would be the correct word, yes."

"Then allow me to give you some context. You have awoken your inner power, and your body is now fully matured. You have become one of my Lilim, an Incubus to be exact."

Your mind begins swimming with possibilities. Your gaze flits over to the frozen form of Jen behind the counter. You can almost "feel" Lilith smiling at you from wherever it was she was speaking.

"Yes, she's quite the cutie isn't she? Passionate in her views but human all the same. You may copulate with her if you so desire, for your powers have already worked their magic, but for now it must wait. There is much I must teach you before you begin your new life."

Lilith has contacted you. Do you heed her words?
