Greeted to the Mythfolk homeland.
Some humans are eager.
As some of the humans coming through the portal started settling, Mitch had to raise his eyebrows. As they were shown to the furs sitting at the base of the hill, several of them started to undress were only about ten people, but a good half of them stripped off at least part of their clothing. Mitch looked over the woman, enjoying the view. Monica was still watching Jorna as he passed plates to others. Other guides started to sit with the other visitors.
Nicay, with her own plate, sat with them. While sitting, Mitch only reached her shoulder. “Welcome to our home.” She glanced at some of the people who had started to strip to see a woman trying to grope her guide. She sighed before taking a breath.
“Umm,” Monica said, “I assume that is a common occurrence?” she asked.
Nicay nodded, “Yes, I’m sorry, word has spread that we have very different approaches to sex, so people assume things.” She sat slightly straighter, “So, why have you decided to visit our land?”
Mitch felt guilty but Monica took the lead. “Well, we would be lying if we didn’t say that there was a consideration of that. But we had some left, and some of our friends have some Mythfolk friends that we met, who seemed lovely. So we thought we would have an adventure. Come see the sights, meet the people and try the food.”
Nicay nodded, “Well, I thank you for not immediately trying to engage me in sex. Indeed, we are much more open, and you will find receptive people, but if I can make a suggestion?”
Mitch nodded, “Of course, we are here to learn and experience.”
Nicay smiled, “We have some methods of communicating intent, so if you are here and are willing to engage in sex, you should buy some jewellery,” she began. “Gold indicates physical availability, silver, relationship, the gems in the jewellery mean more things. You should head down there,” she indicated, pointing. “Valki and Yindra, have a shop and they can tell you, more, but please be warned, Valki can be, I think the word is, persuasive.”
Mitch laughed, “You mean we might get gipped?” he asked.
Nicay frowned, “That is a word I do not know.”
“Oh, well, it means ripped off, pay more than we should,” Mitch explained.
Nicay shook her head, “No, their prices are quite reasonable, but Valki barters for services to reduce the price further.” She turned to look at Monica, “Services you well could provide,” she finished.
Monica blushed as she stammered something, but before she could find her words Mitch asked. “And doe,s that one mean something?” he asked, pointing at Nicay’s necklace.
She nodded, “I am of giant kind, our people have some slightly different traditions, and this necklace is made of black silver. It only occurs high in the mountains, and it means you must prove yourself, few do, to giant kind.” As she spoke, another figure approached from downhill, the rising sun casting a shadow over the group.

When Worlds Collide
High fantasy meets suburban drama
About every 500 years our plane of existence overlaps with another, during this time when these world collide beings from each world can travel to the other through rifts. The world in question contains all those fantasy creatures which are so well known to us. Collectively they are known as Mythfolk individually they are the Elves, Centaurs, Dwarves and Orcs. Countless creatures from this other world, this other place. All evidence of this happening was destroyed during the dark ages, but now it is happening again. This time however we are more advanced than last time, this time we are more accepting of differences. So this time, some of these creatures have started to migrate here, to our world. This is the story of two humans who live in a quiet neighbourhood and what happens when some fantastical neighbours move in.
