Some choose fishing, others go swimming

“Hey Kurt, you said last night there was some fishing gear downstairs?” Zack asked.

“Yeah there’s a bunch of it. It seems like every time someone comes out here, they forget that it’s here and they bring more. And leave it behind. There’s a bunch of spinning and spin casting reels, a few bait casters, and a trolling reel or two. If you want to feel real adventurous, there are a few of our grand-father’s old fly rods in there too. But you really got to know what you’re doing to use them,” Kurt informed him.

“Cool. Glad I didn’t bring my gear with me. I’m gonna go catch us some dinner. Anyone care to join me?” the hockey star spoke.

“Count me in, Dude. I’m always up for fishing,” Kurt replied.

“Well, I’m going swimming, so you two can do the dirty work,” Chloe laughed.

“Brandon and I second that!” Ashley said, knowing that if Brandon went fishing, he’d just end up in the hospital with a hook or twelve in his hand again.

“I think I’ll go to the dock at least,” Gavin spoke.

“If they’re planning on catching us some dinner, then I’m going with Zack and my cousin to make sure we don’t starve tonight,” Heather teased. Both Kurt and Zack stuck their tongues out at the brunette in response.

“Swimming for me,” Victoria stated matter-of-factly.

With the activities decided, the group split up. Those who wanted to go swimming changed into their suits. The fishermen headed to the shed to grab their gear.
