Soapy & Stranded
Cassidy's car was stuck in a muddy country road. She was a journalism major and was assigned a story for her school newspaper to interview an eccentric ex-professor who lived alone in the country. She climbed out of her car and fell into the mud.
She found an old farmhouse. No one was home, and the door was open. She wanted to wash off but instead of running water, it had an old-fashioned pump in the yard. She pumped water into a large basin she found and another into a bucket to rinse off. She found some soap and went to clean herself off in the kitchen.
She got soap in her eyes, and went to reach for a towel, she had placed on the counter. She could not feel it. She then went to reach for the bucket of clean water, but it was gone. She managed to splash some of the water from her basin on her eyes, enough to see. The towel and bucket were gone as were her muddy clothes.
