So what's this got to do with me?

I was a bit confused, so I asked the obvious question, “ hey Namtar, I thought you said she destroyed the others of the ten...so how are you still around?”

He replied, “I was always a trickster, it’s my nature, so I was fortunate enough to fake my own demise and hide myself away. I have spent many lifetimes in the shadows waiting for the right moment to make a move, and this is where you come in my friend. It has taken me a long time to identify a fragment of Diabolos, and you are that fragment “.

I remember thinking this guy has as a screw loose because I am definitely no one special, least of all the Godfather of the universe. Then again, I had nothing to lose, so why not see where this goes. I mean I was already dead, right?

“Ok Nammi, you don’t mind if I call you Nammi right?, lets say I am this frag, so what now? Oh, and by the way, my name is Dante”.

“Well Dante, Diabolos split himself into 5 fragments, one in tier 1, two in tier 2, and finally one each in tiers 3 and 4 respectively. As I was only able to identify you as a fragment, you are the impetus for the actions we must take. Ki must be stopped at all cost, and that can only be achieved by recombining the lost frags”.

“Well Nammi, considering you weren’t able to find the rest, how am I supposed to? Not to mention, I’m kinda stuck in this hallway, how am I supposed to jump around all these tier thingies?”.

“Listen carefully Dante, I found you by accident, you are the only one that can definitively find the others. I will remove the barriers placed inside you by Ki, and you will be instinctively drawn to the other fragments. Now hold out your hand”.

So I held out my hand and a black, shiny rock appeared in my palm. It was about the size of a baseball, and looked like a piece of meteorite. “What am I supposed to do with this Nammi?.

“This stone is of the oldest solid material in the universe, and is imbued with the power to transcend dimensions. There is a catch though, one can only go as far as the power they possess inside themself. Right now you don’t even have enough power to get back to your dimension, you’ll have to start at tier 1. The more fragments you combine, the more powerful you will become. Beware Dante, Ki cannot come to the lower tiers in her full form, but she has servants everywhere So tread lightly my friend. I will be unable to help you as I’ve already been in the light too long, I must return to the shadows and wait for the time when I can openly join you for the final battle.
