Snuff-Filled High Commander

Some guards in the castle actually bring you, Lexie and Zoe down a few hallways to one of the guest rooms in the castle. Shade said the three of you could stay there together for a place to sleep if needed. With having his permission of doing whatever you wanted in the Reach you realize that the day itself was getting closer and closer to being over and after all the long days of traveling and sleeping either on the ground or just in the carriage you couldn't wait to actually sleep in a bed once more.

The entire time following the guard you had to have your grip around Zoe's wrist, keeping her following you because if you didn't, she would have easily wandered off in a random direction. That little bit of snuff she accidentally inhaled just a handful of minutes ago was still going through her bloodstream, causing her already energetic personality to be that much more.

"Right here, any issues, don't hesitate to ask." The guard nods at you as he points to a door to his side.

Stepping inside the guest room in the castle it actually looks quite different from many of the other hallways and rooms. The entire room itself was a little better looking, almost as if the people here actually tried to take care of the place. The bed was well made with comfortable looking blankets, a table with four chairs surrounding it was in the corner, a handful of dressers and cabinets for storage which would be beneficial if you were staying for an extended period of time. A few torches and candles were lite around the room allowing just enough light to see clearly. It did feel a little prison-like though because even though it was a nice sized room, it was just one giant square without any windows in it, so it did have a tingling of claustrophobic tendencies but since you were only going to be here until Shade figured out what Rathkin's plan was, it should be okay.

Zoe immediately breaks off from your grasp as the door closes and goes bounding around the room "Okay okay, so we need to like, we should go and explore and find people and look around and explore! This! This! this city is oh my god! I'm like I can't believe it's the Reach and the Loner's Reach within the city!" Zoe is in awe as sure moves around the room all wide eyed. "TWO REACHES!!!"

You don't even respond to the Snuff-filled High Commander as you throw your arm around Lexie's shoulder and walk with her side by side over to the bed. "So, whatcha wanna do? Hang out here? Explore? Relax?" you question.

"Honestly, I may just rest...I"m sore and that bed looks amazing." Lexie let's out a soft laugh.

"Then when the people see us they can see us without any problems! The fight on the stairs! Or was it the stairs on the fight?! I don't even know!!! I didn't even have to do anything because Darien was all like, fight fight fight take that!!!!" she's looking at the dresser and talking into it. "You don't stand a chance, I'm gonna, fight you!" she slugs her fist into the dresser.

You cringe as the blow she just gave the dresser sounds like it could have hurt but she doesn't even flinch "Yeah, sounds good to me honestly." you pull Lexie close, bringing her into your body "I could use a night to just relax with you, especially now since you're feeling much better..."

"Darien..." Lexie turns to you and brings both her hands up to your face, holding your cheeks while smiling at you.

"I just can't believe this dresser is right here and there could be something in it!" she opens it before letting out a giant sigh "clothes!! Wow!" she slams it shut, causing the doors to crash with a loud echo "Do we look into the cabinet too? That's over here! I think we should go look into it!" Zoe skips over to the cabinet and flings the drawer open "It's full of things and pouches and containers and rags and things and more and more and more!!" she sings into the open drawer.

Lexie's cheeks bunch up as you roll your eyes "I'm going to sleep and you're going to handle her." Lexie laughs a few times.

"What? Seriously?" you groan.

"I just think in this cabinet we can look around and find many things! If you look hard! You can find things! That's what I'm doing!" Zoe goes on, telling everybody her play-by-play.

"There is no way she's going to bed any time soon." Lexie veers her gaze at Zoe, stalling a minute before looking back at you and giving such a mysterious grin "But lucky for me, I'm going to sleep and you're going to follow her around and make sure she doesn't do anything stupid."

Zoe gasps extremely loud and continues to inhale oxygen for what seems like fifteen seconds, completely over exaggerating. "LOOK WHAT I FOUND!!!" she squeals out causing the two of you to look over at the black haired Sunrider. "OH OH!" she's got a pouch open and is pouring something into her hand. That something, the same red-like dust that you've seen before. The same "Snuff" as Shade would call it, not much, just a small pebble size portion.

"Zoe!!!" you yell at her, taking a step forward and leaving Lexie's embrace "Don't..."

You're too late. "MINE MINE MINE MINE!!!" Zoe squeals as she runs to the opposite corner of the room. "Just!! Just a little more! It's soooo..." she carries the "o" sound on for ten seconds before she takes the palm of her hand and brings it up to her face and gives another good inhale. The tiny, almost pebble size of snuff that was in the palm of her hand was gone. A thin layer of red dust around each of her nostrils "WOW!!!!" she yelps before letting out a few sneezes.

"Syndicate Gods help me..." you grumble out as Lexie just laughs behind you.

"So you're going to take her..." Lexie says from behind you as she places a hand on your shoulder "And get the hell outta here so I can sleep."

"I don't want to leave you, not alone here, I honestly still don't trust this place..."

"Darien, I'll be fine." she gives you a firm look "And there is no way in hell that SHE" she points at Zoe who is now hopping in place and staring at the ceiling "Is going to stay here until she calms the fuck down." Lexie laughs again well patting your shoulder "So you're going to take her around the Reach, go explore, burn off some energy and have fun!"

You sigh heavily, watching Zoe leap in the air every two seconds and saying the word "its" over and over again. She's been doing that non-stop for the past minute or so already. "Son of a Sicilian...." you groan, slightly annoyed at your inexperienced High Commander.

"Now get her the hell outta here so I can sleep." Lexie's hand leaves your shoulder and then she gives you a smack on your ass "Go go go!" she teases before turning around back towards the bed "Love you!" a soothing whisper courses from over her shoulder.

You just look at Zoe, she's still hopping around, balls to the walls energy, singing, yelling and saying so much random shit. You have no clue what you were going to do but you've got an entire city to explore, a lot of places to go, people to meet, sights to see.

What could possibly go wrong...
