"It's supposed to be about edgerunner history. I remeber you like that." Gloria said holding it towards David.

Smiling he grabbed it and slotted it behind the ear. Inserting it he expected a rush of info but instead got sudden static shock and his eyes suddenly turned to a testing screen.

This caused him a splitting headache. Seeing her son suddenly in pain she rush towards him. Using her medtech training she began checking him. Noticing his ocular system malfunction she did a quick reset

David optics went dark temporarly blinding him. Then it became a blinding white stunning him before color returned.

"What the hell!" Gloria yelled reaching behind Davids ear to remove it. Pulling it out the shard and seeing it burnt out.

"Where did you buy that?" David asked blinking trying to get reajusted.

"I got it from a place at corpo plaza. They said it was the best they had. I'll go back tomorrow and talk to them, see if I can get a refund."

"I'm going to lay down ma and sleep it off." David spoke heading to his bed.

As he disappeared to his room slowly getting his sight back not noticing a cyber spark hit his mom.
