You're not going to take your chances here after such a bold move. If you have to go the other way to get out it can be later, when there isn't a freshly enraged orc bellowing through the corridors. You don't hear them bearing down on you yet, but it's best to have a comfortable lead. You take just a moment to grab one of the torches along the wall and head off into the rough-carved tunnel.

Before too long, you find yourself at an intersection of sorts. There's three ways to continue on. Each of the tunnels looks basically the same, so you'll have to hope memory serves well if you want to retrace your steps later. But for now, it's time to move onward.
