Sleep on the floor

Just grateful for a break, you take a spare blanket and pillow, roll them out on the floor and lay down. You avoided it this time, but it nags at you as you lay there- at some point, you won't be so lucky. You will have to sleep with that monster. The thought keeps you awake just as much as his heavy breathing, but eventually, the steady rhythm lulls you to sleep.

He's still asleep when the light through the window wakes you up, and for a moment you take in the monster's features. You've never seen Bowser sleeping, and seeing his back slowly rise and fall with his breath captures just how absolutely massive he is. Sooner than you'd like, the sound of pickaxes breaking rocks shatters that peaceful moment, and Bowser soon rises with a mighty yawn, rubbing his eyes before turning to you. For a second, he looks disappointed that you didn't join him, but that's soon eclipsed by a toothy grin and chuckle as his situation hits him again.

"Ha... good morning, wife. One more day and we can celebrate in your new home."

Not waiting for a response, he stretches his monstrous body with another yawn.

"Let's go."

Just as before, you silently follow him back into the carriage. Unlike before, he doesn't give you a chance to refuse his advance this time, picking you up by the waist and planting you firmly in his lap.
