Sleep for now

Liandra was tired and decided to go to sleep. Her dream was one of fame and glory. How she defended her kingdom from a great evil and everybody cheered for her.

The next day she summoned the green guiding light again. It guided the princess and her companions to an old ruined castle. It was completely overgrown with plants. When they entered it appeared like it was abandoned, but Altima said people had recently passed here. She had found some clothes and food that were much to recent to have belonged to to original owners. She also noted that there was too few dust on the floor, which indicated lots of people recently traveled here.

The adventurers were weary as they traveled deeper into the castle. Altime had an arrow ready on her bow. Nariel had both daggers drawn. Calcifer could wall up a spell at any moment. Rodrik stayed close to the princess with his schield raised and Liandra kept her hands on her harp, ready to play a magical melody which would help them in battle.
They traversed many halls and checked many a room, but they couldn’t find anybody. It was as if the castle was deserted, even tho the trailes Altima found said differently.

It was only when they ventured into the castles dungeons that they noticed something odd. Torches had been lit before they been there themselves. When they continued, they heard some sounds.
Altime took a look around the corner to see who was making the noise. Then she turned back and whispered “fiends.”
“What are Fiends?” Whispered Liandra back.
“A type of demon, medium level. About equally dangerous as a human.”
“What should we do?” Liandra whispered back to Altima.
“We can either kill them, or sneak past them.” Personally I would prefer to sneak past them. Who knowshow many more are in there and if they can sound an alarm, we’ll be screwed.”
