How does she try to fight?
Slam the lid closed.
With a single motion, she grabs the lid with the trapped hand, and slams it closed over the creature's tongue. It screams out in pain, and the tongue falls to the ground flopping like a fish out of water. She then follows this up with a swing of her blade down against the top, splintering the wood. And finally, she jabs the point straight through the front of it, causing a series of gargling sounds to emit from within. Soon the stickiness fades, and she frees her hand and backs far away from the treasure chest.
Panting, she readjusts her panties, and whips the saliva from her sword.
"This dungeon... is the worst," she thinks to herself.
