Lowering down behind one of the machines so you're out of sight, you motion for her to drop down with you. It's just in time to get out of the line of sight as one of the figures comes into focus. The lights flicker even more wildly as it gets closer but it's possible to make out what looks like an adult woman. It's hard to debate what to examine first. Her more than generous assets or her hand wreathed in shadow.

"Dark energy? Those spells instantly kill the target!" Lucy has something of a panicked whisper but it's hard to be worried since you remember something important. "Well, I'm immune. What about you?" She shakes her head, as you ready your arm with an ice cannon. While doing that, there's time to see two more figures follow behind.

A man who looks to be about the same age and while not really all that much into guys, its hard to deny that he's good looking. The biggest difference is the unatural light and weird symbols shrouding one of his hands. It's not such a big deal since you know that you are also immune to light attacks. If killing them was the plan, you wouldn't have much problem.

It's the third one, that is hard to figure out. It's not clear if it's a boy or a girl in this lighting and it keeps it's hood up to cover itself. Unlike the other two, it's not preparing an attack and seems to be deliberately hanging back. You can only guess at what kind of powers that this one might have, but you doubt them to being good.

"Lu-lu. There should be a fire exit out back. I'll just freeze this place and-" The sudden blow to the ribs doesn't give much time to prepare. The **** of the hit does manage to put you to the ground but it doesn't really hurt all that bad compared to being set on fire or put through a wall. "Good news. You get to save my life."

Lucy doesn't bother expanding before she grabs your cellphone, and lets it fall to the ground. Proceeding to stomp on it and break it under her heel, something in your brain seems to just shut off. Every body part feels heavy and your mind is dizzy. "It's not fair, but my objective is to make sure these people take you."

It's hard from the angle on the ground to see exactly what she does before something causes one of the nearby machines to explode in a cloud of blinding sparks. It's enough to give the people advancing pause while you hear the sound of rushing footsteps to the exit. "That girl....she's more trouble than she's worth."

One of the voices makes a comment as you can hear them get closer. Any attempts to **** your body to react seem to be in vain. It's as if with your phone being broken that a part of yourself was cut. It's draining and all you can do is give your best scowl to the woman who seems almost sad while looking down at you. "She really left you behind?"

"We'll definitely get to her. Doesn't have to be now." The voice farthest in the back comments as the face of the man meets yours. He actually looks vaguely familiar as he displays the needle in his hand to you.

"Believe it or not, we aren't mad scientists or trying to take over the world or anything like that. As long as I can help it, I won't let you die. However, we need subjects." They flash with the same light his arm had a moment ago. "You definitely will be an interesting one."

All traces of senses are lost as you black out when the needle slips into your neck.
