Chapter 17
by yoyo1342
What is your afternoon class?
Skip class...
“Nothing matters on the first day of school, why don’t I just skip the afternoon and see what’s happening outside,” you say to yourself, also thinking that it might help your avoid the orgy that Gym class would inevitably turn in to today.
As you head out to the front of the school, you notice with satisfaction that it is a beautiful day, and that you are far from the only person who decided that the first day of school was too much to bear.
You don’t immediately see anyone you know, but when you step out in to the field you see Joel, Robin and Merideth in a crowd of people. Those three have been friends for as long as you can remember, and are practically inseparable. You went to school with then in grade school, and had been friends for a while.
However, pretty soon they had turned in to crunchy-granola-hippy kids, which is fine, but not your thing. You still like spending time with them now and then though, especially when they’re doing some activity and can’t talk your ear off.
Joel is a thick-set guy, average height, with dark brown hair and a shaggy beard. He is wearing very loose-fitting jeans, a t-shirt and a fleece. Merideth, standing next to him on one side, is about 5’3”, skinny and slight, with boobs a little smaller than yours, but not much. She has very close-cropped, dirty blonde hair, and is wearing a light, flower-embroidered blouse under a too small zip-up hoody, and a loose summery ankle length skirt. Robin, standing on the other side of Joel, is taller than Joel or Merideth, is the princess of the crew with her regally beautiful face, very long, very blonde, very straight hair. She’s about 5’9 and would have an otherworldly body if she worked at it. As it is, she’s still got a great body; not really skinny, but not chubby, and with great orange sized breasts. She was wearing very low slung baggy jeans, and a giant wool pullover sweater.
Given the way they looked, you’d think the little crew would be love triangle with Joel and Merideth in love with Robin, or maybe Merideth in love with Joel and Joel in love with Robin, with Robin in love with herself in all scenarios. However, the truth was that while Robin was the princess and sort of made most of the decisions, both Robin and Joel competed for the attentions of Merideth. It was all very friendly and cute, but the competition between Joel and Robin was almost always just beneath the surface.
“Hey Danielle, nice to see you out enjoying the sunny afternoon! A group of us were just planning a game of Frisbee golf out at the park, wanna come along?” Joel asked.
Joel was referring to the little park out in the suburban section of Creekside, where some of the jockier of the hippies had set up a Frisbee golf course a couple of years back. You’d never played before, but since you’d already decided to throw in the towel on your afternoon classes, getting away from the school was probably a good idea.
“Yeah, sure, sounds like fun. You guys will have to teach me how to play though,” You say.
There were eight of you going out to the park to play, so you piled in to the cars of the two people who had them and headed out.
To the park...
