Head to lunch

You grab some food from the Caf, not particularly caring what it is. As you step outside to the picnic benches, you look around, and you can see almost everybody you know is sitting outside. You see Ariel and your sister Rachel sitting together at a picnic table and you walk right over.

“Hey Ariel, hey sis, how are your days going?” You tone your question so that it’s clear that you’re particularly curious.

“My day’s going pretty well. First day of the last year of high school, so it’s kind of exciting, but otherwise…” Ariel trailed off.

“Pretty normal here, just checking out the freshmen crop for potential targets or fodder. Why what’s going on?” Your sister had picked up on your strangeness.
“I don’t know what’s going on, but I’ve had easily the weirdest day of my life,” you say. Thinking about it, even Rachel had been kinda weird this morning, but she clearly had no inkling that anything was wrong.

“Weird, like, strange coincidence? Weird, like you need to see the nurse? Weird like alien invasion?” Ariel asked.

“Well I don’t think there’s been an alien invasion, but it’s definitely that level of weird. Nothing out of sorts has happened either of your classes? Really?” You ask, almost uncertain of what’s happening to you at this point. You find it hard to talk about, because you don’t really want to go in to detail.

“Nothing as weird as what you seem to be saying, maybe you should head to the nurse’s office instead of your afternoon classes.” Rachel suggested, trying to be helpful.

You finish eating your lunch, but you do take Rachel’s suggestion seriously
