Sirona comes home

You leave in the morning, ostensibly to go to work, but when you arrive, you fill Edward in on what’s going on. He laughs, and waves you on. “Go on, take the day. It’s not busy at the moment anyway, so go get Sirona all settled.”

With that taken care of, you head off to the living area. Though it’s early, many of the girls awaiting sponsors are up and about already. You greet them as you pass by, and several of them give you knowing smiles as you head towards the closed door to Sirona’s room. Somehow, despite having done this several times before, you still feel a bit nervous as you knock.

You hear hurried footsteps approaching, and the door opens just a crack. You see Sirona’s pink eyes peeking out from inside, and you hear her excited gasp when she sees you standing there. She swings the door open, a hopeful expression on her face.

“Is it time for…? Can…are you sponsoring me now?”

You chuckle. “Yes. The construction is done, and the girls are out getting the furniture. I’m taking you home now.”

Sirona bites her lip and smiles. “Oh! I need to pack. Sorry…I wasn’t ready. I never thought this would actually happen. Um…can you give me a little time?”

You smile and nod. “Of course. I’ll go get the paperwork started.”

She blushes and nods, watching you walk away. You turn and look back, catching sight of the manticore as she walks back into her room, leaving the door open. As she does, she jumps up and down excitedly, and you hear her exclamation of happiness. You chuckle, leaving her to pack as you go back to the office area.

You’re nearly finished with the forms, with Edward’s help, when Sirona walks in, carrying a pair of bags. You look at her in surprise.

“Is that all? I figured you would have more stuff.”

She shakes her head. “No…I don’t go out much. I don’t need many clothes. And…most of what I do is read. I borrow books from the AWIO. So I don’t have much.”

You smile. “Well, I’m sure the girls will change that. You’ll love them, I just know it.”

Sirona blushes, sitting down beside you. You see her eyes flick over to your hand, sitting on the arm rest, and her fingers twitch a little. You look at her until she meets your eyes, and then you reach out and take her hand. Sirona gasps slightly, blushing even more, but she immediately grips your hand. She’s stronger than you expected, even considering her size, and her wings give a little flap of excitement as she smiles shyly.

Edward laughs, shaking his head. “Ok, you two, let’s finish up so you can go.”

You grin, and Sirona looks down, smiling and blushing. Her tail sways behind her, seemingly showing her happiness. You keep ahold of her hand as you finish the last form, and Edward nods as he takes it.

“I’ll file these for you, Brian. You two have fun.”

You wave as he heads out, and turn to the manticore, who is still blushing and biting her lip. “So. Shall I take you home, Sirona?”

She nods. “Yes…I’d like to go…home.”

The way her face lights up when she says that makes you smile. And she’s clearly been waiting to say it, since she is practically floating as you walk towards the doors. You help her get into the car, having just as much of a struggle as Kenna did at first. Once you’re both in, the drive home is quiet, with Sirona clearly having a lot in her mind. Soon enough, you arrive, and she gasps when you pull in.

“This is…home? It’s so…it’s perfect.”

You smile, and lean over to kiss her cheek. “Come on in, Sirona.”

The two of you get out, and head inside. The girls are still gone, so the house is quiet as you give Sirona the tour. She holds your hand tightly the whole time, staying close to you. When you finish, she looks at you for a minute, then blushingly looks down, biting her lip before speaking.

“So…do you want to…”

You look at her curiously. “What is it?”

She shrugs. “I mean…you’re my mate now. And we’re here. Do you want…should we…”

You chuckle. “Sirona, are you asking to get a closer look at the bedroom?”

She giggles, nodding. You smile and give her hand a squeeze. “Tell you what. Go shower up and get ready, and I’ll do the same. We’ll meet up in there. Sound good.”

She smiles, and speaks, barely audible. “Yes…yes please.”

She then suddenly leans in and kisses you on the lips, surprising you with the intensity. When she finally backs away, her pink eyes are almost glowing. She licks her lips, and grabs one of her bags, bounding off to the bathroom.
