Single father and daugher - Roy and Chloe

Our family is Roy Smith, a single father, and his daughter Chloe. Its been just the two of them since his now ex-wife abandoned them when Chloe was just three years old.

As far as father-daughter relationships go, they have had the best. Despite working hard to provide for his only child, Roy had managed to be as dedicated a father as possible. He has never missed one single recital, ball game or school play. He has chaperoned school dances and gone on school trips, at Chloe's request.

In many ways the two of them are best friends, sharing a similar sense of humor and interests. Chloe never got in trouble and always made good grades, making it that much easier for them to avoid the normal pitfalls of parenting a teenager.

In honor of Chloe's high school graduation, Roy has planned a summer vacation to Hawaii, and he surprised his daughter with permission to bring along any guest that she chose.
