Simple pleasures

The next few days go by quickly, and for the most part things are going well. You definitely notice more pressure on you at work, likely because of the increased scrutiny on you from your boss. You try not to let it bother you too much.

The truth is, the cafe is such a success that you don’t necessarily need your job anymore. Even with the AWIO taking their cut, the girls are bringing in much more than you ever had. Dave teases you about it a bit, but truthfully, it’s nice not having to worry about money for once. Amusingly, you offer to start plans for expanding your house, but the girls tell you not to bother. It seems they like the cozy nature of things, and all of them are happy sharing beds.

You expected to see less of the girls with the overwhelming success of the cafe, but actually the reverse is true. Apparently, a lot of monster girls have been looking for some way to contribute, either while they await sponsorships, or even once they have them. There’s more people willing to work than there are places available for them, and in the end that leads to less work for your girls.

Sadly, the protests outside don’t seem to lose steam either, although they thus far haven’t caused any problems. Still, there’s definitely a growing tension there, and worse for you personally, you see your ex among them on occasion. Thankfully, they leave you be, but you know that something has to give at some point.

For now, though, you fall into a pleasant routine. Your home life is as happy as can be, and your nights are filled with sex and love. Even if work is a bit stressful, you take comfort in knowing that you can come home to happiness. And as the weekend rolls around again, you catch Mazzy and Dakota once again plotting. When you ask, you get little more than giggles and promises to tell you later.

You would be worried if you didn’t know them so well. More interesting is that Dave mentions similar behavior from Lisa and Katie, and you know that the four girls are all in this together. The two of you just shrug and laugh it off, figuring that whatever the surprise is, it will be fun, knowing the girls.

With all that in mind, you make plans for another weekend cookout at Dave’s house.
