Signed, Sealed and Delivered
Saul looked across the table at Douglas. He looked beside him at his client, Elizabeth. It was the first time Douglas and Elizabeth were in the same room since he'd cheated on her.
"So, I've reviewed your request for a reduction of the lump sum, given that you need to buy a mobile home for you and Faith. And Elizabeth has agreed, if you agree you to pay the future child support that Antoine Jefferson will owe to his former wife, Ladonna Jefferson."
"That makes my budget pretty tight," Douglas complained. Elizabeth smiled thinly.
"I don't give a fuck, Douglas. What you did to me. You should be homeless right now. Be glad I'm letting you live in a mobile home park with your ... your ... baby mama. And one more thing. I want the papers signed today, delivered to the judge right now. The very idea of being married to you for one minute longer ... it literally makes me sick, Douglas."
That ended things. Douglas signed the paperwork, and Saul ran them to the judge. By the time Elizabeth left the office, she was Elizabeth Castle once more.
