Chapter 626 by Fantasy Fantasy

Sick.

I didn’t even realize I was asleep, technically. You know that state when you’re about to fall asleep but you’re still conscious enough but it turns out you’re actually asleep? Yeah, that, only I was feeling progressively more like shit.

Laying on the couch felt uncomfortable at first, then I noticed my muscles felt a bit sore when I shifted to get myself more comfortable. Soon after I realized I was feeling pretty cold, and yet I was sweating. I also started feeling dizzy as if I had drank too much ****. I started giggling to myself when I realized on top of that that this was my first time getting sick in almost a year! And it was the giggling that made me believe I might be just a tiny bit delirious, too.

“Uuuugh…” I groaned while laying on the couch. Cake was on my chest, purring and rubbing her head against my face. Her weight on me kept me nailed to the couch, or maybe that was just how little strength I had. “I think I might die…” I said, groaning uncomfortably. “Mint, Chip, go pee on my PC. No one can know I like lesbian porn… Wait, never mind.”

I felt like I was gonna throw up, and yet oddly sure nothing was actually gonna come out. Cake kept meowing at me, but seeing her relatively calm made me believe this wasn’t anything serious. Still, I felt SO uncomfortable. No position was good and moving made my head spin.

My arm fell from my stomach and my hand touched the floor. Mint and Chip took that chance to start licking and nibbling my fingers and fuck me they had sharp teeth.

“Stooop…” I groaned.

I drifted in and out of sleep god knows how many times and for god knows how long. It had to me a lot, though, because the sound of the front door brought me back from a very light and unrestful sleep. Cake jumped off my chest and I heard her running and meowing loudly.

“Cake! Hello!” I heard Noelle say.

“How’ve you been, girl? Getting along with your new siblings?” Alice asked.

“Hey, come back here and say hello, Cake!” Isabelle said.

Cake meowed again before jumping on my chest again a moment later. Then three gasps came.

“Wait, what the hell!?”

“O-Oliver!?”

“Hey! Hey!”

“I’m alive… I think…” I muttered with a faint groan. “What time is it? I feel like I skipped lunch…” My stomach decided to have comedic timing and grumbled right after I said that.

“What happened to you!?” Isabelle asked as Alice and Noelle kneeled next to me. I felt someone’s hand on my forehead and another on my cheek.

“He has a fever,” Alice said, her tone filled with worry.

“Your face is burning…” Noelle told me.

“Weird, then why do I feel so cold?” I asked.

“You got sick? You were fine this morning!” Isabelle said.

“Yeah, I remember that. Good times…”

“A-Alice…” Noelle muttered, her voice weak and cracking.

Alice took a deep breath. “Alright, love. Let’s get you to bed. Can you stand?”

“Cake feels too heavy…”

“Oh, brother…”

“Isabelle, help me,” Alice said. “Noelle, get him some water. No, lots of water. Also put some to boil, please.”

“Y-Yes!”

Cake jumped off my chest as Isabelle and Alice get me on my feet, carrying me from both sides. I really could barely stand.

“Oof, how are you so heavy if you’re so short?” Isabelle asked.

“Pure muscle, baby…” I muttered tiredly.

“Oh, God, he’s delirious…” my sister said.

I put every bit of strength I had left on trying to properly climb the stairs so the girls wouldn’t have to drag me through the worst part. They both let out heavy sighs when I was finally on my bed. Cake immediately jumped on to be at my side.

“Here’s the water!” Noelle said. “I put on the kettle, too. It should be ready in a few minutes.”

“Thanks, Noelle,” Alice said, taking a bottle from her and uncapping it. “You have to drink water, love.”

“Yeah…”

She brought the bottle to my lips and helped me drink, tilting it gently.

“Oliver, are you hungry?” Isabelle asked.

“Mm-hm…” I nodded while drinking and spilled some water on me like a dumb-dumb.

“That’s a good sign, isn’t it?” Noelle asked.

“Yes. How’s your stomach feeling?”

“Fine, I think…”

“What should I make him?” Isabelle asked.

“...Chicken soup for fluid intake and to warm him up. Porridge with fruits so it’s easy to swallow,” Alice said.

“But I wanna eat Chinese…” I muttered.

…Was I sounding like a child? I was sounding like a child, wasn’t I?

“We’ll have Chinese tomorrow, okay? You’re barely swallowing water, you’re not swallowing a dumpling.” Alice cupped my cheek and sighed. “Isabelle, you go make the food. Noelle can help me take his clothes off.”

“Alright, I’m out!” Isabelle made a 180 and left the room, leaving me alone with Alice and Noelle.

The two girls began to undress me, with me trying and mostly failing to be of any help. My body felt heavy, sluggish and sore.

“I don’t get it, though,” Noelle said. “We’ve all been super healthy since… you know. We didn’t even get sick in the winter. That goes double for Oliver.”

Alice nodded. “What happened?” she asked me.

“Um… Magic practice, I think. Maybe I… overdid it a bit?”

Alice grimaced. “Shit… If it’s magic related then treating it like a normal cold won’t be of any use.”

The girls got me naked, Noelle looked for my winter pajamas and they helped me into it. I already felt a bit more comfortable.

“Thanks, girls… I fucking wish polygamy was legal…”

They both giggled at that.

“Don’t we all?” Alice said.

They helped me into the bed, too, the pair of angels. Noelle sat close to me, stroking my head and checking my temperature while I caught glimpses of Alice checking the pockets of my pants and taking out my phone.

“Love, give me your hand to unlock your phone,” she told me.

“I’m not texting other girls!” I told her.

“I know. I just need to find someone’s number.”

“Who are you calling?” Noelle asked as I unlocked my phone with my thumb.

“The one person who probably knows what to do about… magic sickness.”

Using my phone, Alice looked for a number and made the call, bringing the phone to her ear.

“Hello? Mr. Luke Allen? I’m sorry, no, this isn’t Oliver. I’m Alice Knight, one of his girlfriends. I’m calling on his behalf because… Well, he seems to have gotten sick from using magic.”
