Chapter 11 by Irony-lord Irony-lord

Shrinking starts

This pain replaced all former pleasure and vibration and turned it to agony. A loud, rough grumbling emitted from her massive gut. She gripped her center on reflex and leaned over from the sheer **** of the growling coming from within her. “Wh-what is this?” The giantess flinched as her own voice amplified the pain. A pulse ran through her like icy blood forcibly pumped.

She wobbled on her huge feet, kicked the trunk of a nearby tree as she tried to steady herself. Was this it? Was she going to grow? Perhaps that was why her limbs burned, why her insides felt like they were coiling. She was going to shoot up into the sky, towards the sun like a goddess! But why so painful?

Then, at last, the pain dwindled and a deep rumble built from her stomach and flooded upward. It escaped as a loud, reeking blech. The burp was strong enough it startled nearby animals from their hiding. A cloud of sinister bile all but billowed visibly. The merchant covered her face and swore she could see brown waves coming off the large woman’s tongue, but it was likely just an illusion.

The giantess burped a second time, this time softer like the start of retching, but then she stopped. She was slightly stunned since the burp had not been of her own whim, but rather had escaped purely from a need to release excess air. She clenched her stomach and shivered all the way up and down. She anticipated another release but it didn’t come.

Once she was certain it had passed, she turned to the merchant, angry again, now not only from the insolence, but from the lack of growth. Had the merchant deceived her?

The answer was yes, but she was wrong about the type of illusion. For as she raised a foot to stomp the life from the human, her body quivered again. It started at her stomach and flooded outward. Then, as if she’d been hung out to dry, the giantess started to pull in on herself.

At least she assumed that was what was happening. Her body felt tight, like her bones were too large for her skin. As she looked around, she saw the ground inch closer, like she was falling, though she remained upright. She felt like her fingers were constricting and when she looked down at her hand she swore it looked smaller than before, if only by the slightest bit.

“No,” she gasped.

It couldn’t be! She was getting smaller! Little by little it was as if her body had been put into a compressor that was slowly closing around her. She felt like she was shrinking in the wash. Another blech rumbled out involuntarily and the wind took volume with it. The harder so belched, the more air she released, the more she seemed to furl inward. She crept toward the ground inch by inch, like she was being chipped away. “What have you done?!”

“I didn’t do anything,” the merchant said firmly. “I tried to help you. You did as you pleased.”

The giantess let out a roar of anger, but that only seemed to minimize her quicker. From the outside looking in, it was like watching something shudder and breakdown. The monstrous woman seemed to vibrate, all her colors seemed to float around her like a smog from the quakes leaving visual echoes. She got smaller tiny fraction by fraction, but from her perspective it was much more noticable, like having her legs kicked out over and over, she got lower to the ground.

The rest of her shrank too. Every fresh belch pulled another horrible wave of stench and somehow more mass. Her center, her breasts, hips, stomach, everything narrowed to keep her proportional as she got smaller and smaller, even as she remained huge by human standards.

Then it wasn’t subtle anymore. She let out a squeal of agony as a fresh wave of pain ripped through her. She felt like rubber bands had been wrapped around her limbs, or as if she were a puppet on many strings, all dragging her at once. She felt like a black hole collapsing, though she had no wit of such matters.

“Uurrrp!” A belch rose up from her bowels like a roar from the center of hell. It stank and made even the giantess ill for it also carried with it more essence, more of her unseen reality. Her body trembled and she started to plummet. The shrinking became very clear to anyone that might have looked. She was sweating, the drops pouring off of her like rain, her skin was tightening and her under layers falling inward to accommodate. Her skin seemed to bubble as it adjusted around her structure. Her limbs shrank and, for an instant, they were smaller than the rest of her, like a dinosaur, then the rest of her caught up and she descended toward the earth, getting smaller and less significant like a butterfly soaring into the distance, losing perception to the human eye.

She still rose up high above any mortal man, but as she witnessed the world in terror, the trees rose up over her.

“No! It can’t be!” She looked around in panic, hoped she could see she was only imagining things, that the trees had merely gotten larger around her! Perhaps the merchant had poured a potion to make them grow, to scare the larger woman. Yet, there was no denying it. As yet another wretched sound crawled from the pit of her gut, the giantess realized she was truly shrinking. She’d already lost nearly a third of her height. Before long it would speed up and for all she knew one good fart would have her be no more than a pebble! She’d be the size of the merchant if she didn’t act quickly and that thought horrified her. To only be the size of a sex toy was a horror she’d never imagined before. However, there was nothing she could do to fight, no matter what happened next, she had no way to cease it. So she opted instead for ****. She let out a battle cry like a wounded animal and rose up her still-large palm to crush the merchant while she still could. Then at least they’d be even, she’d be small but the merchant would be dead.
