Shifters

Shifters are descended from lycanthropes. They do not carry the curse but gain some animistic features and tendencies. They have heightened senses, claws, and grow thicker body hair than Humans. They are not classed as beastfolk despite similarities in appearance and physiology. This is due to their lineage. Also, unlike beastfolk, they always appear mostly human; however, adrenaline spikes can cause a shift in personality and physiology. This increases muscle strength, enhances senses, and increases aggressive responses. This is where they get the name shifter. Other than the minor physical differences described above, their anatomy is identical to that of humans.
