Background:

Sherida was created to oversee the gates between the Celestial Realms, and she excelled at the job, loving the opportunity to hear of places and things most could only dream of.

When the rebellion started it sparked her imagination, and dreams of something more than the small world of maintaining a gate she had only known. So although she did not take part in the actual fighting, she helped allowing supplies to get to the revolutionaries. So when the Schism was over she was cast out of the Celestial tribe, branded a demon and **** to go to the newly christened Infernal Realms. She was fortunate enough to be allowed to go to the Abyss, being present at the very beginning of the founding of Gehenna.

Having a background of working with gateways she knew the principles of magics needs to form portals to other connected realms. As the newly christened Priestess of the Rift. She along with Belphegor oversaw the building of the four cardinal shrines of Gehenna, each able to channel the magic to open a portal to the Mortal Realm.

She named the Shrine she chose as the Shrine of Dawn, as it sat on the Eastern most point of the city. Since that day she has been the Head Priestess of the Shrine, often having many of her daughters work there as acolytes over the centuries.

Personality:

Sherida is a very curious being, who loves to hear stories from those who travel to places most will never see. She has been allowed as a demon to travel at times to the Mortal Realm, but mostly spends her time in her temple.

She is also a very loving person, having had many lovers over the years and a multitude of children with them. Interesting she has only given birth to daughters, so when they finish their time in the Nursery system, many come as adults to work for her shrine.

Sherida’s curiosity extends beyond the intellectual; she delights in engaging those who pique her interest with tales of their exploits. Her open flirtation, especially with adventurers, is as much a way of connecting with the world beyond her shrine as it is an expression of her desires. Often being rumored to invite those returning from other realms to her bed chambers to share their stories as she shares her body with them.
