She was scared but did not run

The human girl was scared but let Kiray come close to her. She could tell he was concerned. He could talk to her since he learned of the language of outsiders.

Kiray then said "Are you OK, human?"

"Um...." She replied feeling he was kind and felt lucky he knew her language. "I...I'm Emily. I've been lost in this forest for weeks. I ran away from home a while ago."

"I am Kiray and it's alright. I can help you but....."

"But what?!" She said upset.

"Well..." Kiray replied. "Before I take you to my village there is something you must do first. It's kind of a rule when bringing in outsiders. A way to know if they are trustworthy and open to our customs."
