Lux makes her way down the only available corridor, wondering how she can possibly find her way out of here. The passageways seem to go on forever. She comes to another room much like the others so far, with a large, square table as its most distinctive feature.

As she steps into the room, she hears a sudden intake of breath, and realises she’s not alone. She spins around to see a skinny young man who seems as startled by her appearance as she is by his.

She clenches her fists, ready to fight, but the man hastily throws his hands up in the air. At second glance, Lux realises he doesn’t look much like a bandit. His skin is pale, as if he hasn’t seen the sun in a long time; his dark hair is neatly cropped. His clothes are plain, a faded orange in colour, with a large sigil of a cog embroidered on the front of his tunic. He also looks absolutely terrified.
