She reaches shore

Kimiko was exhausted when her barrel floated close to shore. She was unsure of where she was at the moment, but still had enough strength to swim to the beach when she was near enough. When she got out of the water, she stood on unsteady legs, looking around and at the distance. She was drenched and dirty, but she was still able to walk fairly well, and despite the **** she received, her mind was still fine.

Looking around, Kimiko felt dread wash over her. She was pretty sure she knew where she was, and it wasn't a good thing. Beyond the beach she could see verdant flat plains, and low mountains in the distance. She was in the island of Meleiko, a large island part of the Kingdom of Nemihakehu, a long-time enemy of the Empire. A powerful maritime power in allegiance with the pirates.

If anyone here found out who she actually was, she would be in very real trouble due to her bloodline. To make things worse, the island was well known as a den of pirates and slavers, and most people were **** to swear allegiance to them. The only major port, Mininahokumo, the only place where she could board a decent ship to get out, was filled to the brim with them, and she had heard legends of constant kidnappings of young women in the island to be sold into slavery.
