She plays the game and ups the ante.

Monika remains unfazed. Scooping up the playing cards the bounty hunter begins to shuffle the deck. “I would be willing to make your demand part of a wager, that's if you're still a gambling man?”

Orterres gives Monika a respectful grunt. “I'll give you this Chichotas, you have cojones.” Sitting back down at his desk the gangster dismisses his disgruntled and humiliated guard with a wave. “I know I'm going to regret this, but what the hell do you want Carmesí?”

“I'm looking for a day pass to the Overcity.”

“I see.” Orterres laughs, “I have one that I'm willing to sell for the right price. I was thinking 2,000 gold, but for you Chichotas, I'll make it 5,000.”

“I only have 1,000 on me.” Monika leans in.

“Guess your shit out of luck.” The gangster smiles, enjoying being in control while getting a good view of Monika's cleavage.

“I did ask if you were still a gambling man.” Monika puts the cards in between them.

“What's the stakes Carmesí?”

“The highest, as always.” Monika raises her eyebrow in a seductive yet challenging manner. “One draw, high card wins. If I win, you give me the pass for nothing.”

“And if I win?”

“Payback. You get to take out all that anger and frustration on me, and you keep the pass.”

“Any way I want?” Orterres grins, enjoying this game.

“Whatever you say, I will do.”

“You'll won't walk straight for a week.” The gangster promises.

“Then you'll have your ****, tit for tat.” Monika bits her lower lip. “I'll just have to learn to take.”

The buxom bounty hunter then picks up the cards in a suggestive manner and shuffles them while never loosing eye contact. With incredible dexterity and trained peripheral vision her nimble fingers insert an ace as the second card in the deck.

Placing the deck in front of Orterres she whispers, “Draw.”

Orterres smiles. “I should thank you, Carmesí, you have taught me that the most beautiful things are the most dangerous,” and then cuts the deck.

Monika barely manages to keep a poker face while her heart sinks as the gangster draws his card from the new, non-rigged, deck.

“Jack of Clubs, Chichotas. I think you'll be staying in the Undercity and paying a long over due debt.”
