She listens to Helena's advice

"True," Annalise said. "Now, why me? I see many girls at this party which you could flirt with?"

"I always wondered if the stories I heard over girls with red hair were true. And seems a good way to find out."

"I wonder what stories did you hear about redheads," Annalise said but she could already think about the type of stories he might mean.

"Well," Amal said and got a bit closer. "I heard you could be little devils in bed."

Annalise's face got bright red and for a moment she considered just rushing away without responding. Instead, she stood there, not sure what to do now. Back at home that wouldn't have been a decision to make and only a very drunken man could've said such things to a woman. But Amal clearly wasn't very drunk and this was not back home. Helena's words about enjoying herself echoed through her head.

"I probably would disappoint you," she then quickly said.

"Why that?" he said and got a bit closer. The young woman blushed again and looked down to the ground. Amal quickly put things together. "I assume you mean that you haven't been with a man before?"

"I haven't," Annalise said and in her mind, she was sure he would lose interest in her because of this. Most women at the party probably knew more about sex than her, who had heard of the concept but nothing more.

"Why don't we find it out?" Amal said and got even closer. "See that curtain over there? Behind it, stairs lead up to some more private areas. Meet me there in a few minutes."

"My father might miss me," Annalise said and looked around to spot him.

"No worries," Amal said and walked towards the curtain, leaving her standing there, unsure if she should commit to it. It felt to her that she could still back out at this point.
