Is Camille at school?
She is! But where was she?
The mood in the car is grand. Sun-shining; life-giving; hope-restoring. The three of them joked and talked as they had done in a thousand lives acted out together in all the previous lives as crickets and toads and sunflowers. Rulers of their domain.
"But seriously, what did you guys get up to last night?" Asked Watson, once again.
"We really did just sit around and talk, what's so hard to believe about that?" Replied Cary.
"I don't know, you both seem different this morning. Not bad different, good even, but different." Said Watson.
"I think we just became better friends." Interjected Taylor, confidently. She thought Watsons questioning was very cute.
I want him to hold me down and interrogate me about my business. Oh please sir, honest!
"Oh well good then, I'll stop being an asshole shall I?" Said Watson, pulling into school. "Oh look there's Cam!" He said pointing at her. He rolled down his window,
"Are you okay? We didn't see you this morning?"
Camille was surprised at his care, she expected her brother to berate her. With a calm town she said, "Oh, yeah sorry, I should have texted or called or something. Was mom upset?"
"No she wasn't--" Added Cary from the backseat. "But she did notice! You'll have to give her a reason when you see her."
"Figures... Oh is that Taylor with you? She spent the night?"
