She needs food or water!
She finds some. Not much but some.
'What the hell was that!?' Alanah wondered.
She'd never encountered such a dramatic or turbulent change in weather so suddenly. And then to have it change back just as quickly...
Her stomach grumbled and she felt weak. She needed to eat something and fast. Her eyes scanned the area and she spotted a bush with berries. She scrambled over to it and picked as many as she could which ultimately amounted to a handful, not enough to store but better than nothing. She devoured them quickly and felt herself calm somewhat.
Things weren't going her way. Clearly. But she couldn't give up, she had to keep going. Food, clothing and shelter. Those were the important things right now, that and this damned fog dissipating.
