She encounters a group of pilgrims

Lux encounters a group of travelling pilgrims.

As she reaches the top of the next rise in the road, Lux sees a group of travellers coming the other way. They’re dressed for the road in heavy coats and cloaks, hauling heavy bags. They seem to eye Lux warily from a distance, but, perhaps seeing that she’s alone, they continue on their path.

Lux throws back her cloak and approaches them confidently. The gesture frees up her arms just in case there’s a fight…and gives them a better view of her chest, which has worked wonders in the past as a distraction in a tight spot.

The travellers continue to watch Lux with a trace of wariness, apparently undistracted. One, a bearded man of average height, seems to be their leader, so Lux addresses him.”

“My name’s Luxara,” she says. “I’m glad to see other people out here – I’ve heard a lot about bandits attacking travellers…”

“Aye,” the bearded man says. “We were here on pilgrimage, due to camp out a few days longer, but it’s too dangerous now. We’re headed back to Eldborough.”

“Really?” Lux asks. “Have any of you seen anything of these bandits? What do you know about them?”
