She can't do it.

It wouldn't be difficult to simply relinquish control and let Nathan do as he pleases, her body was already aching for release after a prolonged and futile attempt to reach it herself. Though in that single lapse of stimulation, her usually stubborn sense of will comes flooding back and shocks her out of the lusty haze. Having been relaxed just a moment ago, her body becomes rigid, even the older boy can feel it. Anticipating a negative response, he's already pulling back with his hand, sighing in disappointment.

"I... I can't." Brianna manages to meekly protest, planting her hands either side of her waist to pull herself up into a seated position, totally unable to make eye contact with Nathan who just sits there for a moment. His eyes are still trained on her bare legs and thighs. “I’m… sorry.”

Despite endless frustrations at the girl pulling away and denying him the chance to go further, Nathan doesn’t appear to be the brand of jerk who would throw a tantrum over a girl withdrawing. It takes him a few moments to breathe deeply, consciously accepting that the redhead wasn’t going to give him what he wanted tonight. In the end though, he just nods and gets up from the mattress.

“Sure, whatever.” he responds flatly, grabbing the blanket bunched up at the foot of her bed and using it to wipe off the arousal that had drenched his fingers. “Not the first time a girl’s gotten cold feet, guess we’re both going to bed without getting what we want.” As accepting as he is of the circumstance, it’s typical of him to instill uncertainty in a prude. Having wiped his fingers mostly clean, he takes a few steps backwards until the backs of his knees hit the edge of his bed, Nathan letting himself fall back onto the mattress with a soft thud.

Now with his attention not directly on her, Brianna takes the opportunity to find her baggy track pants and shuffle them back up her toned legs, tying the drawstring tight and lambasting herself for almost falling prey to Nathan’s desires. He was Danielle’s cousin after all, and if she acquiesced to him tonight, who knows how far he would have tried to take it? Or how difficult it would make the sleeping arrangement since she’d have to share a room with him. Whenever Brianna imagined her first sexual experience, it was a sight far different from this, but there was no denying that even though she’d cut it short this had been in some way her first lewd encounter with a boy.

Having made herself decent, she rolls onto her side and faces away from Nathan, pulling the covers all the way up her frame until she grips the edge of them just under her chin. Any trace of sleepiness she felt was long gone by now, replaced by chest pounding embarrassment. What remained was the throbbing sensation between her legs, that untapped libido tormenting her with alternate scenarios that might have happened if she’d just been less of a bore and went with it. Brianna could only imagine the fallout that might have ensued if she’d agreed to Nathan’s bargain. Danielle would probably be furious about the whole thing owing to her strained relationship with her cousin, not to mention the disappointed looks she’d probably get from Michael and James. Those expressions might have killed her.

In the end, she feels as though she made the responsible call. As much as it didn’t entirely feel like the right one. Brianna hushed those wandering thoughts and did her best to get to sleep, but it was difficult with the steady sound of a fist jerking up and down just a few feet away. She had decided to abstain and get a grip on herself, but evidently Nathan was using an entirely different grip to get one out before bed… not bothered by the timid female in the room who he no doubt thinks ruined his fun.
