She’s framed

The next day Supergirl was just waking up when she turned on the TV to the news. Still tired she hadn’t expected her face to show up on the headlines underlined with the phrase ‘Supergirl is a fraud. Scams people out of half of what they own’.

“WHAT?” she burst out turning her full attention to the news.

“In this shocking turn of events we hear that last night Justice League hero Supergirl was responsible for tricking a man out of his money. Successfully tackling the criminal Supergirl only returned half of the money while keeping the rest of it for herself. Police officers are convinced that she has been running this two timming operation since her inception” announced the reporter.

“What, how, why?” she whimpered desperately. She was lost for words, and for moments she was shocked by what happened. But she soon calmed down, this was just a mistake and it could be easily dealt with.

She picked her phone and dialled her cousin Kal-El desperately. Surely he’d be able to help, or at the very least he’d offer support, she waited through two times where he didn’t pick up until finally on the third time.

“Kara” he said weakly.

“Kal I’ve been framed you have to help me” she begged clutching the phone. Shaking slightly.

“Kara I’m not going to fall for this anymore. Just don’t make this hard and turn yourself in. I’ve told the police who you are, they’re coming to you” he said, his voice weak with betrayal.

“What Kal how could you do this? I’m innocent. KAL” she screamed but it didn’t matter. He’d hung up.

He’d said she had told the police. She had ****, she had to go. In a panic she started to pack everything she may need into a rucksack, her costume, some clothes. But she was just looking for her phone and money when she heard banging on the door.

Out of time she grabbed her rucksack and jumped out of her apartment window, and flew to somewhere else desperately. She was alone now, a complete fugitive.
