She’s conflicted

“I…” Liara paled and said. “I don’t know what to do…”

Miranda immediately stood up and wrapped her arms around Liara. “I know this is a difficult decision to make. If you need more time, I completely understand.”

Liara cried. “I just… what if I bring back Shepard and it turns out this whole time she just wanted to move on in peace? Am I taking away her agency to do that? I don’t want Shepard to be gone… but is it selfish to say that? Am I completely wrong for thinking that.”

“Shhh,” Miranda said. “You’ve lost a lot in your life. All the people that died during the war and not just Shepard. Your mom… was the first…”

“I…” Liara cried. “If I bring back Shepard again, am I a horrible person? I bring back Shepard but not my own mother who raised me and loved me. I never got to tell her how much I love her. Both of them.”

“Come on, Shepard knows and your mom did too. I don’t think you’re selfish for wanting Shepard back. I…” Miranda paused.

She and Liara were quite close to each other. Closer than they’d ever been before. “I…” Liara said. “I can’t decide. I need to know what…. what Shepard would want.”

“Shepard would want you to be happy,” Miranda said. “Whatever that meant.”

“Do you really think that?” Liara asked.

“I know that,” Miranda said. “Maybe it would be better if we met somewhere else.”

“Where do you want to meet?” Liara asked.

“I’ll send you the details,” Miranda said. “But definitely somewhere nice where you can clear your head.”
