She's Working On It

The corridor looked like that of any upscale hotel. Plush red carpet. Tasteful erotic prints on the walls between doors with key-locks. The violet light of the ring covered the reporter's form, and she played with the shape and cut of her "Star Sapphire" uniform...now giving herself a breast window, now dressed in nothing but a violet bikini, now nude except for a domino mask and pasties over her nipples, now a sweeping violet dress...and all the while, the reporter pored over what Circe had told her, and tried to form a plan.

"Maybe...maybe if I go in there confident. Strong. A mistress looking for a new ****. Put the demon in her place, treat her like I did Circe...but will she respond to that?" Lois said to herself, talking out loud.

Her steps took her to a kind of lobby. Bathrooms to her right, an elevator to her left. Lois squared her shoulder. Circe had told her that Blaze would be below.

"Or should I try to seduce her first? If I just march in there all spikes and heels and whips, she might take that as an attack. Maybe if I went in there all stately and yet nonthreatening. Address her as an equal...a challenge to be met rather than a foe to be fought..."

The reporter pressed the button. Her mind was awhirl, outfit shifting...now the violet, form-hugging habit of a slutty nun, ruler in hand; now in a full-body tight-fitting dominatrix outfit, with only her eyes and mouth showing on her face, feet squeeze into six-inch spike heels. Lois knew she needed to decide on her approach...because the door opened and she walked forward. Turned and pressed the bottom button.

"Only one shot at this, Lane," she said...and as the doors closed, and she caught sight of herself in the mirrored brass, Lois knew she had a plan.
