She'll do anything

"Fine, let's go." Annie said to him after he'd explained what Didi had told him.

"Just like that? I'm worried it won't be so straightforward." Pete warned her.

She shrugged, "What else am I supposed to do? Spend the rest of my life in this costume? I don't understand it but it does seem like I can wear this forever, but I just can't accept that fate. Kelly and I didn't go through everything obviously, but trying to find an answer in this pile of trinkets seems like a bad call. I might end up even worse than I started."

Pete had to admit she was probably right, "Fine. I'll call an Uber, I'm sure you don't want to walk all the way there dressed like that."

"You're fucking right about that." Annie said with a grin. At least she seemed in good spirits about it. As they headed downstairs to wait Annie called out to Kelly to let her know they were going. To Pete's surprise Kelly's door burst open and she stormed out.

"I'm coming too. If I can help, I want to. I'm really sorry about yesterday Annie, I didn't mean to hurt you." Kelly said.

"Aww, Kels!" Annie gave her a big hug, "I'm sorry too. Ok, let's go."

Luckily their uber driver didn't comment on Annie's appearance and just drove in silence all the way there. Pete gave him 5 stars for keeping his mouth shut and they all got out and stared at Celestial Delights.

"Well, I can't enter," Pete told them, "It's up to you two."

"Alright, let's go." Annie grabbed Kelly's hand and let her inside. Pete could only watch as the door shut behind them, and hope things would be ok.
