What next?
Shang has made men out of them.
The next morning, Shang saw the same arrow he had fired on the ground.His men were cheering, and on the very top of the pole sat a familiar recruit. Instead of following Shang's orders to leave, he stayed and managed to figure out his test.
Perhaps he's not as hopeless as Shang initially thought.
Morale had raised up exponentially since that day and training had smoothed out in spite of their rocky start. Arrows hit their targets, less people had fallen into the river during morning hikes, katas were done in perfect sync, and Ping even managed to knock Shang flat on his ass during sparing.
While Chi-Fu wasn't impressed (not that he ever was), Shang certainly was.
