After a brief recap of the story the camera switches back to the Brigata who become briefly sidetracked by questions about the young abbot. Pampinea (Monica) explains “He was not a child, but had only recently reached his majority and had never known a woman.”

Alessandro even reconciles the King to his son, and is rewarded with the Kingdom of Scotland.
